Hi. We’re Rachael and Darcy, the videographers and co-owners of Whitford Wedding Films. We’re a couple from Melbourne, both professional filmmakers, actors and writers. We created Whitford Wedding Films because we believe weddings and films are a match made in heaven. We get to spend our days doing what we love – making films in gorgeous surroundings with people on one of the happiest days of their lives.

Our creative talents go back a long way…

Darcy’s first film was an Oscar-worthy primary school media project. An expertly crafted, fully scripted mockumentary about ‘The Crocodile Hunter’, starring his friends, sister and filmed by his father. It was a touching homage centred around the lead character ‘Peeve Derwin’ and filmed on 90’s cutting edge VHS technology. He is still waiting for a phone call from Steven Spielberg.

Meanwhile, in a different part of Victoria, Rachael was forcing her family to set a place at the table for her imaginary friend, Brigid McColly, and entertaining them all with passionate readings of her witty poems (‘Little old Lucy lived on a farm. One of her cows chewed off her arm’… you get the picture). After dinner, she could usually be found pretending to be the star of her own TV show – ‘how to climb trees’ out in the back yard.

Who wouldn’t want these two genius creative minds making a wedding film for them?
